provide new and innovative parts. Knockoffs sell cheaper at the expense of the original idea. The innovators of these new products, most of whom we personally know, are naturally reluctant to develop and market additional new products because they cannot recoup their upfront R&D, and start-up manufacturing costs. Basically our objections are fourfold: (1) They steal money from our friends. (2) They severely limit new ideas and products. (3) They mock our intelligence and commitment to the hobby; and (4) The products are usually inferior. But even if these knockoffs were not of lesser quality, the first three objections would be reason enough for us to boycott and hopefully put an end to their dumping cheap and inferior products into our marketplace.
